Craft Beer and a Cozy Atmosphere Await at The Berliner

It’s easy to imagine The Berliner’s glass garage doors opened wide, welcoming the fresh air in the sunny summer months. Of course, the German beer hall just opened in December, so it hasn’t had the chance to crank open the doors yet. In the meantime, the cozy, industrial-chic space is offering a warm respite from the winter chill.

Bartenders pour more than 20 draft beers, some from the country that inspired The Berliner, Germany, and others from domestic craft breweries. Grab a Penn Quarter Porter brewed right here in DC or an It’s Electric Gose from neighboring Virginia. You can also opt for a glass of wine or an artisan cocktail. To accompany your libation, order the house-made pretzel with beer-infused cheese or the plate of pickles. Larger bites include various bratwursts, like the pork/bacon Wurttemberg Brat with topping options such as sauerkraut or sweet peppers.
