The Arlington Central Library is a wonderful community resource for The Maxwell‘s resident bibliophiles, offering a wide selection of reading materials for people of all ages. The library is housed in a large brick building on Quincy Street, and it is filled with cozy reading nooks, spacious tables, and stacks piled high with fiction, nonfiction, and periodicals.
The children’s section is bright and colorful, and you’ll often find kid-friendly events, like story times, held in this part of the library. In other areas, the Arlington Central Library hosts educational groups, like English conversation classes and gardening clubs, as well as fun game nights for adults. All of these activities are free with a library membership, and memberships are available to all residents of the Arlington area.
The Arlington Central Library is open 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
