Arlington Turkey Trot: Lace Up Your Sneakers for a Great Cause

On November 28, Arlington will play host to the 14th annual Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot. This 5K race benefits a variety of local nonprofits that provide food, shelter, emergency support, job training, and more to some of the city’s neediest residents, and this year race organizers expect more than 4,000 runners to raise more than $100,000 to be distributed to six nonprofit beneficiaries. The race starts at 8 a.m. and will be chip timed. Serious racers have the opportunity to win prizes for top spots, though most runners are simply out to have fun with family and friends.

Whether you finish at the top of your bracket or walk the route at a more leisurely pace with your little ones, you’ll be able to join everyone at the finish line for a Thanksgiving day celebration with live music, games, snacks, and more.
